Electronic Music Production (9, 10, 20, 30)

Electronic Music Production (EDM) is a course that will focus on the development of each student as a well-rounded musician.  We are proud to offer this unique program to students at BVHS.  All students will have an opportunity to work in our Mac based lab with MIDI keyboards, making use of GarageBand software, Logic Pro X, and Ableton Live 10 Suite, recognized industry wide as one of the leading interfaces for music production, while working with guest artists who are professionals in the industry.  Topics covered include music production and composition in a wide variety of styles, music theory, technology, history of electronic and world music, appreciation, musicianship and the role of music in our lives… all to help students create their own music.  All are welcome, as musical experience is not required to take part in this program.  The development of teamwork, individual practice, creativity and thinking skills are all of great importance.
