Uniform Guidelines

Symphonic bands wear matching attire to create a sense of unity, professionalism, and focus. Coordinated clothing fosters a cohesive appearance, minimizing distractions so that the music remains the center of attention. This tradition also reflects the formality and collaborative nature of band performances, promoting inclusivity by symbolizing equal contributions from all members.

Cultural attire is permitted on approval by Mr. Grant.

Fundraising

Fundraising for the Bow Valley High School Music Program is coordinated by the BVHS Music Society, a dedicated board of parent volunteers committed to supporting our young musicians. Fundraising helps cover costs for instruments, sheet music, workshops, and other program needs. Some of our key initiatives include selling products, hosting music events, Papa John’s Pizza Days, and participating in FlipGive, a cash-back app that earns funds through everyday purchases. Your involvement in these efforts not only enriches the program but also enhances your student’s musical experience.
